21st Annual Irene W. Pennington Wellness Day for Women

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana – Virtual presentations that cover everything from dealing with stress during the COVID-19 pandemic and learning more about the COVID-19 vaccine to the DASH Diet and how to be heart smart highlight the 21st annual Irene W. Pennington Wellness Day for Women.

The health education sessions will be held virtually to ensure the safety of participants, volunteers, speakers, and health care providers. The sessions will be spread over two nights, from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, and from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25. This is the first time Wellness Day for Women will be held virtually and feature a second day of presentations.

The sessions and speakers for Feb. 23 are:

  • Dealing with Stress During the Coronavirus Pandemic and a Changing World
